We are very proud of our dress code, which always makes our learners stand out as smartly dressed young people ready to engage in serious and successful learning. We acknowledge, however, that in our learning model, which is increasingly tailored to meet individual need and which is designed to ensure that young people learn to make good choices taking responsibility for their outcomes, uniformity can be seen as incongruous.
The ethos our dress code must embrace, and which is not negotiable, centres on respect for oneself, other people and the world around you. Making no effort to dress smartly, having your tie unfastened and your shirt un-tucked, shows a lack of respect for the serious learning ethos in which we believe at Honywood and will, therefore, be challenged here.
